I had no outline and little forethought for Life in the ‘Cosm. It was mostly a stream of consciousness. I knew I wanted to base it on Virj, Splot, and Sonny from the comic strip, but I had no idea Noola Quirk would exist, let alone be such an important character. Even though she’s a work of fiction, I see much of my personality in her, from my early 20s. I like Noola. She’s a bit bonkers.
